Lead / Senior Lead, Corporate Planning & Analytics

As Lead / Senior Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Partnering various stakeholders in EDB, from management to industry cluster officers, to initiate, scope out, conduct and see through data analytics projects to implementation
  • Identifying opportunities where data analytics can make a positive impact, educating the organisation, and building internal capabilities
  • Working with engineers from the IT department to support business intelligence, model deployment and decision-automation design efforts, as well as to enhance EDB’s overall data architecture

Qualifications

To meet the requirements of this role, the applicant must have:

  • An education  in Statistics or Economics (related science or quantitative disciplines may also be considered)
  • 2-5 years working experience in a hands-on data analysis/forecasting role
  • Experience with statistical, mathematical or econometric modelling techniques
  • The ability to make sense of vague/ambiguous problem statements and formulate meaningful testable hypotheses
  • The ability to clean, manipulate, analyse, model and visualise large data sets using standard tools and technologies
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to effectively present the key findings of an analysis to a non-technical audience
  • A Singaporean citizenship

The following would also be highly desirable in an applicant:

  • Experience in developing supervised or unsupervised machine learning algorithms, or statistically robust experimental design
  • Programming in R or Python
  • Highly logical, systematic, and with strong attention to detail
  • Independent, self-motivated, inquisitive and resourceful in solving problems
