Lead/ Senior Lead, Professional Services

About Professional Services Division

You will be part of a dynamic team shaping the future of Singapore’s Professional Services Industry, where you will work closely with consulting, accounting and legal firms.  

You will oversee a portfolio of accounts and initiatives, with the aim to enhance Singapore’s position as a leading professional services hub, drive innovation in this space and create good job opportunities for Singapore.

Your roles and responsibilities will be to:

  • Actively monitor and analyse business and technology trends in relation to the professional services sector
  • Explore linkages between professional services and demand drivers
  • Develop Singapore’s global positioning and strategies to capture new growth opportunities, for the current and future development of the sector
  • Architect initiatives to grow Singapore’s global industry leadership position
  • Chart strategies to stimulate innovation for industry transformation
  • Develop engagement plans for your portfolio of accounts to anchor investments and job creation opportunities
  • Engage and influence senior executives, management and decision-makers from leading companies to pursue opportunities and invest in Singapore
  • Collaborate within EDB and across public and private sector stakeholders to enable seamless execution of strategies and initiatives
  • Work with other government stakeholders to develop Singapore’s infrastructure and advance policies or regulatory frameworks

To meet the challenges of this role, you must have/be:

  • Preferably 2-5 years of work experience in a role in business development, corporate strategy, consulting, advisory or similar functions. Candidates who have prior experience working in the civil service or from management consulting, accounting or legal backgrounds may also be considered
  • Good academic record from a degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics or other relevant disciplines, if you are applying as a fresh graduate without relevant working experience
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and distill pertinent issues, draw conclusions, and develop creative solutions that address business needs
  • A keen ability in fostering strong partnerships with stakeholders for success
  • A high level of initiative, drive, tenacity and resourcefulness
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for and an appreciation of the professional services industry
  • Singaporean
