Lead/ Senior Lead, Business Environment

About Business Environment Division

The Business Environment (BE) division plays an instrumental role in supporting these aims through working closely with various stakeholders to ensure that we have a conducive and internationally competitive business environment.

You will have the opportunity to engage with the business community, and work with various government agencies and internal divisions on the following areas:


Incentive products development

  • Review, enhance and manage a suite of incentive products to ensure governance and competitiveness
  • Provide advice and work with internal stakeholders to tailor these products for their projects


Policy governance & competitiveness monitoring  

  • Manage internal budget allocations for economic development initiative
  • Keep abreast of international developments that impact competitiveness, primarily but not limited to, developments in various incentives/measures to encourage investments and/or trade
  • Analyse and assessing the impact of such developments and their relevance to Singapore, as well as formulating responses for internal and ministry stakeholders


Business process re-engineering & IT systems development

  • Review business processes pertaining to the usage of BE’s products
  • Provide recommendation to streamline and improve processes
  • Work with internal stakeholders (IT, users, etc.) to develop and implement system projects


To meet the challenges of this role, you must be a Singapore Citizen and have/be:

  • Degree in any discipline  
  • Relevant working experience in any of the areas mentioned above in private or public sector would be advantageous, though not mandatory
  • Open-minded to opportunities to work across any combination of the areas mentioned above
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and systems thinking
  • Strong attention to detail
