Assistant Director/Manager - Policy & Planning (Municipal Services Office)

Responsibilities

The Municipal Services Office (MSO) was set up in October 2014 to improve the Government's overall coordination and delivery of municipal services. These services include, inter alia, the upkeep and improvement of the common living environment, such as the cleanliness and maintenance of the estates and the upgrading or provision of facilities and infrastructure.

You will be part of a high-performing team responsible for the formulation, review and implementation of polices relating to municipal service delivery, with the objective of institutionalising better WOG service delivery frameworks to benefit the lives of Singaporeans. To do this, you will be driving policy reviews and using data analytics to help agencies make better decisions on process management, resource allocation and identify how agencies can work more effectively together. You would also be involved in the staffing of inter-agency coordination meetings as well as decision papers to Senior Management. 




Requirements

  • Excellent written and organisational skills.
  • Exceptional persuasive and influencing communication skills, especially across organisational boundaries.
  • Self-motivated, and have tenacity, resilience and a sense of urgency.
  • Strong ability to integrate and optimise information across various sources and balance competing considerations in formulating and implementing policies.
  • Ability to drive change and lead teams, especially across organisational boundaries.
  • Have an interest in public policy making and in serving Singapore in the Civil Service.
