Usability Tester

IT systems form the backbone of our operations. We are looking for individuals with passion and IT expertise, to help us improve the delivery of our systems and services.  The Board’s IT systems support a high daily volume of financial transactions for CPF members. In addition to keeping the lights on, the Board also keeps pace with the external environment through innovation in its IT systems.

Usability Tester

As a member of the Digital Services Department, the job holder will be responsible for designing, conducting and analysing results from a variety of usability and user testing studies including remote testing, field testing and formative and summative user and usability testing. The job holder must be an intellectually curious person who has a love for discovering user problems and insights and has the ability to work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects. Empathetic to user values and needs, and the ability to effectively communicate ideas and design concepts will be crucial.


  • Collaborate with UX researchers/designers to drive usability and user research studies: planning, facilitating and executing in-person and remote quantitative and qualitative usability/user testing research studies, analysing the data, and presenting user testing insights
  • Utilise different testing methods, including usability reviews and/or heuristic evaluations, clickstream analysis, 5-second tests, A/B or multivariate testing, focus group discussions and others
  • Define participant requirements, manage, catalogue findings, develop insights and create insightful and actionable Testing reports.
  • Assist in design research projects employing observational techniques to better understand customer motivations, behaviours and needs
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of different research methodologies and data analysis techniques.


  • Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Interaction Design, Cognitive/Experimental Psychology, Behavioural Science or related field
  • Relevant experience planning, conducting, analysing, and presenting the results of user/usability testing with various methodologies
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative usability/user testing methods, metrics, interface design, and usability principles and best practices
  • Resilient to work under pressure
  • Passionate about creating experiences that fuse non-digital and digital through research, analytics, design and delivery
  • Proficient in one or more wireframing/prototyping tools (e.g. Axure RP, Balsamiq, etc.)
  • Position will be on 3-year contract, subjected to renewal

Seniority of appointment will commensurate with relevant work experience.
